I’m a father to a daughter named Rose, husband to a wife named Hannah

Coaching others to better health and fitness, and playing as much golf as possible with my awesome clients.

I was introduced to golf as a nipper by my Grandad, he was a brilliant player and encouraged me from an early age to start. He’d take me to Rowlands Castle Golf Club in hope that I’d catch the bug but it wasn’t until I reached 15 that I really began to fall in love with the game.

From 15 to 19 I could be found on the golf course any time I wasn’t at school or college, with aspirations of becoming a tour professional I devoted my life to it. Alas, I wasn’t able to reach the standards needed to become the next Tiger Woods and so instead pursued my next biggest passion…

Becoming a Personal Trainer in Chichester

My first few years in the fitness industry were spent immersed in the world of bodybuilding, I enjoyed the lessons learnt from hours, months, and years devoted to acquiring as much muscle as I could. So much so that I began competing in national bodybuilding and physique competitions.

Whilst this taught me the skills required to get to an extreme level of muscularity and fat-loss, the reality was that I had lost sight of the joys of exercise and only began seeing it as a means to an end. The pursuit of a leaner, bigger physique became less and less important to me and so instead I looked to take my knowledge and experience and invest it into helping others achieve their fitness goals.

Since 2016 I’ve helped hundreds of guys both in-person at my gym near Goodwood, and online achieve leaner, stronger, and more mobile physiques. However it wasn’t until 2018 that I really started noticing just how much of an impact my support was having on the golfers I trained.

My Light Bulb Moment

It was only when local Chichester PGA Professional Harry Pyett mentioned to me just how much further he was hitting it did I really start delving deeper into the demands of the sport and how I could help others see the benefits.

My approach has been honed through a combination of expertise in strength training specific to golfers, and a deep understanding of the golf swing through my work with PGA pros like Harry and many others.

I now work with all levels of golfer and couldn’t be happier with the fact that my life is now spent helping guys in similar situations to me, supporting a family, managing a business, and still trying to find time to make their fitness a priority, and also have it positively impact their golf.

Qualifications:

REPS Level 3 Certified PT

1st4Sport Level 5 Diploma in Advanced Nutrition Science

PT Collective Certified Personal Trainer

Personal Golf Goals:

Reduce handicap to Scratch (Currently 5)

Break 70 in a competitive round

Random Facts:

  1. I’m currently a member of Rowlands Castle Golf Club
  2. I have a First Class Degree in Computer Animation (BSc)
  3. I used to compete in National Bodybuilding Competitions
  4. I LOVE cooking, with my Kamado BBQ basically being my second child!
  5. I’ve just started investing in property, a lot of learning curves right now
